A new read and eating Oreos, what could be better?
I SWEAR I LAUGH AT THIS EVERY TWO SECONDS
I loved this book!
I’m not usually one to like stories like this, but I’d heard great things about it and since it’s been adapted into a movie I thought I’d give it a try.
I could not put it down. I started reading it yesterday and I finished it today. There was a few things that kept me reading it. The relationship between Hazel & Augustus, the humour and it’s a believable story. It got to a point though where I didn’t want to carry on, as I knew something bad was going to happen. However my hope of happiness kept me going, but alas it got me crying. And it’s not very often a book gets me upset.
Although it made me weep it also made me laugh, so I highly recommend this read. Although it is directly a love story I think guys will like this as well and I’m sure there’s a few out there who could get really get some pointers from Augustus on how to make a girl feel special.
I love when my inner nerd comes out. I’ve got two documentaries back to back about The Bermuda Triangle to watch tonight. Awesome!
So I’m reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green at the moment. I’m on chapter 20 after just starting yesterday, but I’m afraid of finishing it, because I know it’s going to make me really upset.
I finally got around to reading this a couple of days ago after I finally got through with reading A Clash of Kings. It was a really easy read and that’s what I needed after the previous book I read. Clearly made it so readable so that kids and adults alike can enjoy learning more about his life. Stan Lee’s humour comes through in his writing and with input from George Mair explaining the details behind the scenes at Marvel and such it really gave you an idea of what it was like in the life of Stan Lee. I highly recommend.
Look what has just arrived! Can’t wait to read it, but got to get through A Game of Thrones: A Clash of Kings first.
I went to see Monty Python screened live at the cinema earlier. It was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I only went because Ste wouldn’t have anyone else to go with.
But just 10-15 minutes from the end everything went off!
It came back on after about 5 minutes and as we were leaving the manager gave everyone a ticket for us to go back to watch anything we want at anytime, any day, including 3D. Can’t go wrong with that. I just need to use it wisely.
#can we just stop and appreciate Harry’s face in this scene? #I mean, he’s literally waiting for someone to say something about Hermione’s blood status #she’s the only Muggleborn in the slug club full of purebloods and well known people #and Harry’s there just like “say something I dare you” #and if you look at her face, you can see the actual hesitation and somewhat fear of what will happen next after telling of her parents occupation #Harry truly is acting like Hermione’s big brother, which I absolutely love #i just adore this scene
I love that Neville looks genuinely interested in what hermione’s talking about.
Harry: I wish a motherfucka would talk shit right now
Say something, make my day
Nevile looks like he’s just made a private mental note in flaming red ink: WHATEVER THE HELL A DENTIST IS, DON’T MESS WITH ONE.
#this is a harry potter blog #seriously any profession that turns out a kid like hermione #must be utterly terrifying #neville finds out it involves rearranging people’s teeth with wires and drills #and drugs and scrapy knives #and is like AHA #I KNEW IT#I KNEW THEY WERE TERRIFYING #hermione granger: horrifying storm of a girl since day one #(so do the muggles have to be hunted down for that or does the government assign you targets) he asks her one day #she squints at him for a long time #’they volunteer’ she says eventually #neville shivers #muggles are HARDCORE
Including tags because oh my fucking god.
Time for my epic night of staying awake for as long as I can.
I begin with McDonalds followed by a live screening of Monty Python at the cinema!
